Rose Marie Pugh, 69, of Martins Ferry passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her family.  She was born May 16, 1956, in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late, William and Eleanor (Varner) Bender.

Rose retired from the Redman's Bingo of Martins Ferry and worked at the former Davison Florist.  She was Lutheran by Faith, and a member of T.O.P.S. of Bellaire.  Rose loved Elvis Presley and was one of his biggest fans and enjoyed the game of Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill, Shirley, and Carol Bender.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 50 years; Gary Pugh, children; Tonya Knox, Sherry (Scott) Grimes, and Kari Pugh, grandchildren; Briona and Braelyn Knox, Logan Pugh and Jace McWhoter, 2 grand-fur babies; Chubby and Eva, siblings; Stanley (Missy) Bender, Bob (Tricia) Bender, Barb Heath, Helen Conaway, Penny Finsley, sister-in-law; Gail Bender, close friend; Gene Hopkins, close cousin; Martin Bender, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.  Funeral Service will be on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the funeral home at 11am with Pastor Nathan McKeen officiating.  Burial to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
