Rose Theresa Martin 83, of Colerain Ohio passed Thursday September 15th, 2016 at Liza's Place in Wheeling WV, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Michigan on April 23rd, 1933, the daughter of the late John and Sylvia Ciersezwski of Dillonvale Ohio. Rose was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as well as Martin's Lawnmower Service. She was a member of Mother Cabrini's Catholic Church in Colerain Ohio and attended Lawrencefield Parish Church. She belonged to the Colerain Senior Center where she was an active member for many years with her dearest friend, the late Joseph Selak. Mrs. Martin enjoyed cooking, crocheting, yard-work & flowers, traveling and most of all taking care of her Grandchildren. She was a lover of dancing, especially Polka, and never missed the opportunity to enjoy a good party. She was preceded in death by her husband George A. Martin, Sisters Sophia, Irene, Mary and Ann as well as brothers Frank, John and Joe. Rose is survived by her beloved son Shawn Martin (Lisa) of Colerain OH; Grandson Jason Martin (Melinda) of Wheeling WV, Granddaughter Sherry Callahan (Tom) of Pittsburgh Pa., Grandson Kevin of Lansing OH, Brother Ed (Emma) Ciersezwski of Norwalk OH, and Niece Linda Griffith of Mt. Pleasant OH. She leaves 4 Great-Grandchildren as well as dear friends Bob & Mary Frohme of Wheeling WV and Mary Reeb of Colerain OH. Friends will be received on Saturday September 17th at Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, OH from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, is assisting the family.
