Rose M. Smolenak 75, of Barton died Monday October 29, 2012 at Liza's place Wheeling WV. She was born August 21, 1937 in Barton, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Pipa) Klotz. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Barton, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, and the CWC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Joseph W., Richard ?Dick?, and Edward Klotz. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Michael ?Shakey? Smolenak, two sons Mick (Jackie) Smolenak of Barton, and Kirk (Jennifer) Smolenak of St. Clairsville, a daughter Judy (Greg) Clovis of Barton, a brother John (Julie) Klotz of SC, a sister Margaret Jean Mitchell of FL, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to a celebration of Rose's life on Thursday November 1, 2012 from 2-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst with Fr. John Mucha and Fr. Dale Tornes concelebrating, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Wake service will be recited at 2:30 pm on Thursday, and Barton Fire Dept.
