Rose P. (Wisnick) Coville, 87, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville, OH. She was born Feb. 4, 1921 in Blaine, OH a daughter of the late Walter, Sr. and Pauline G. (Jablinske) Wisnick. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, Momma, and Grannie. The staff at her residence, Willow Brook Christian Home, Lazelle Rd., Columbus, always affectionately knew her as Miss Rose or Mom where she assisted and volunteered daily with mail and newspaper deliveries. Rose was a lover of poetry and avid book reader. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert L. "Buck" Coville, a still born son, three brothers Walter, Jr., Paul, and George Wisnick, and a sister Helen Wisnick. Surviving are her daughter Rose Elaine and son-in-law Edward W. Berwinkle of Delaware, OH, a grandson Aaron Lee and his wife Gabriella Berwinkle of Lewis Center, OH, three sisters Marie Tirpkoff of Mt Clemens, MI, Elaine VanDerMaas of Lexington, MI, and Helena Higgins of AZ, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
