Roselle Swallie, 83, of Bridgeport, died Sunday July 25, 2010 at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 6, 1926 in Dixie, WV, the daughter of the late Fred E. and Cora (Schoulcraft) Asbury. Roselle was the owner and operator of the Boydsville Hall, and a former employee of Hart's Family Center, a faithful Bingo player since the 1950's and member of the Bridgeport Eagles #995. In addition to her parents, Roselle was preceded in death by her1st husband John T. Bess, 2nd husband Joseph Gonot, 3rd husband Ronald Swallie; a son Fred Asbury; and twelve brothers and sisters. Roselle is survived by two sons John T. Bess and his wife Donna of Shadyside, OH, Charles W. Bess of Charleston, SC; a daughter Delores "Dean" Murray and her husband Michael of Bridgeport, OH; eight grand children Stacey McCutchen, John Bess, Heather Brown, Michael Tennant, Brian, Bradley and Brianne Murray; many great grand children; a great great granddaughter; and her beloved Dog Scarlett. Visitation will be on Tuesday July 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Wednesday July 28 from 11 am till time of service at 1 pm, at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, OH, with Msgr. Mark Froehlich as celebrant. Interment will follow at Belmont Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, OH.
