Ross L. Coates Jr. 66, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born May 11, 1946 in Fairpoint, Ohio, a son of the late Ross L. Sr. and Elizabeth Mae (Mill) Coates. He was retired from Union Local School District; he was a member of the Lansing United Methodist Church, and a veteran in the US Air Force. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Beverly Wodarcyk. Ross is survived by a son Christopher (Cassie) Coates, a daughter Shannan (Carl) Hawes, a brother Ron (Wanda) Coates, sisters Wilma (Edward) Campbell, Doris (Joe) Ceculski, and Marjorie (John) Kubancik, eight grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at Lansing United Methodist Church 55123 Greenbank Ave. Lansing, Ohio with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating on Saturday January 12, 2013, at 11 am.
