Roxanne J. (Myers) Harrison, 71, of Indiana St., Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Nov. 29, 2004 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born Sept. 4, 1933 in Elwood City, PA a daughter of the late L. Bruce and Helen (Steel) Myers. She was a retired bank teller at Sky Bank of Martins Ferry. Roxanne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry where she was the treasurer of the Deacons, in the Hand Bell Choir, and involved with the ministry of comfort to the shut-ins. She was also a member of Gamma Chapter of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority and was a Past Supreme President of the national sorority. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John W. Harrison, a son Barry Alan Harrison and a daughter Janet Jo Harrison, and two brothers Richard "Dick" Myers and John "Jack" Myers. Surviving are two sons Jeffrey J. Harrison of Byesville, OH and Thomas L Harrison and his wife Patricia of Avon, OH, a brother William B. Myers and his wife Treva of Shadyside, five grandchildren: Kristen, Cheryl, John, Greg, and Nick Harrison, and a sister-in-law Vivian Antosz and her husband Alexander of Martins Ferry. Friends will be received Wed. 2-4 & 6-9 PM and Thurs., Dec. 2, 2004 from noon until time of services at 2:00 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Alpha Pi Sigma sorority will hold services Wed. at 6:30 followed by Deacons of the church at 7:00 PM all in the funeral home.
