Roy retired after 36 years as a driver-salesman for Pepsi Bottling Co. of Moundsville, WV. He was a long time member and trustee of Ohio River Valley Elks of Martins Ferry. Roy was also an avid golfer who enjoyed participating in the Elks golf outings and tournaments.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy (Belles) Davis, brothers; Leslie and Walter Davis, sister, Inez Abbot and special nephew, Steve Davis.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanette A. (Shutler) Davis, sons; Roy (Kathy) Davis, Jr. and John Davis both of Martins Ferry, brothers; Harry (Sylvia) Davis of Hesperia, CA and William (Cathy) Davis of Bridgeport, OH, grandchildren; Jeremy (Jamie) Davis, Shannon (Josh) Ernest, Julia Davis and Josh Davis, six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clem (Nancy) Shutler.

Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. and Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Marut officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry.

Elks services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
