Roy M. Stukey, 87, of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at home. He was born Sept. 4, 1918 in Alledonia, OH a son of the late Emmett and Rebecca (Saffell) Stukey. He retired from the Steubenville South Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and was a member of the Colerain Presbyterian Church. Roy and his wife Bessie were avid square dancers as they traveled extensively enjoying their hobby together. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bessie L. (Arman) Stukey in 2000, a son Lynn A Stukey, three brothers Ray, Paul, and Chelsea Stukey, and a sister Opal Schaeffer. Surviving are two sons Ronald L. (Joyce) Stukey of Chesapeake, VA and Dennis E. Stukey of Martins Ferry, two grandchildren Dr. R. John Stukey and Jeffrey R. Stukey, and two great grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 at 1:30 PM with Rev. John A. Brown officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, Inc., 98 E. Cove Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003.
