Obituary

Rudolph " Rudy" Kogut, 91, of Pickerington, OH, formerly of N. 7th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Dec. 7, 2005 at Echo Manor Extended Care, Pickerington. He was born May 20, 1914 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Ignaz "Eli"and Mary (Federman) Kogut. He was retired from the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, a lifetime member of the former V.F.W. Post #3613, and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alma G. (Reader) Kogut, a son Randolph "Randy" Kogut, two brothers Adolph and Joseph Kogut, and four sisters Anna Skuta, Blanche Moose, Josephine Kulewicz, and Helen Snezic. Surviving are a daughter Sandra (Charles) Wilson of Pickerington, a son Rudy (Rose) Kogut of Canton, OH, a sister Virginia Sweat of Florida, and grandchildren Christa and Scott Wilson. Friends will be received Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 from 10:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Military services will be held at the funeral home by the Belmont County Council of the V.F.W.
