Rudolph "Rudy" Vitter, 88, Dillonvale, died peacefully October 29, 2010 surrounded by family at the Convalarium at Indian Run, Dublin, Ohio. He was born October 23, 1922, son of the late Thomas Vitter and Bessie Pollock Vitter Felczan. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel "Jo" Vitter and brother, James Vitter. He was retired from Consolidated Coal Company of Cadiz, served as an International Representative UMWA, District 6, and former mayor of Dillonvale. Member of Smithfield Lodge 182 F&AM, Valley of Steubenville, AASR, Order of Eastern Star 332 of Smithfield, LaBelle Chapter 414, Steubenville; CSA Lodge Jefferson; The American Legion, Post 529, Dillonvale and a member of Dillonvale Presbyterian Church. Surviving is a daughter, Joyce Rudisill (Jerry), Dublin, Ohio and three granddaughters; Kristen Alcox (Dan), Dublin; Kim Rudisill, Santa Monica, CA; Kelly Rudisill, Dublin; 2 great grandchildren, Kelsey and Andrew Alcox and loving companion of many years, Emma Pickenpaugh Friends will be received at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, Ohio on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Thursday November 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Michael Lenno officiating. Masonic services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside Military Honors provided by Dillonvale American Legion, McCook Post 529 at the cemetery.
