Russell E. Alltop, Jr., 62, of Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born May 16, 1951 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Russell E. Alltop, Sr. and Opal M. (Groves) Alltop. He was retired from the former Alltop Transfer of Martins Ferry. Russ was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Wanetta Tribe #75 Improved Order of Redmen both of Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Alltop. Surviving are three brothers; William Alltop, Richard (Ruth) Alltop and Thomas (Pat) Alltop all of Martins Ferry, two sisters; Linda (Richard) Armstrong of The Villages, FL and Kathy (George) Shultz of Martins Ferry and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday 6-9 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. William O.
