Russell T. Duncan, 89, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, OH. He was born March 24, 1927 in Colorado Springs, CO, son of the late Ivy and Lillian (Brown) Duncan. He was a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Martins Ferry and retired from American Electric Power- Kammer Plant. Russell was a life long member of Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry and the Martins Ferry Booster Club. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps from Keesler Air Field, Biloxi, MS during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny (Worley) Duncan and his sister, Evelyn Neavin. Surviving are four sons; Larry (Sondra) Duncan, Robert (Jenel) Duncan and Jeffery (Janyce) Duncan all of Martins Ferry and David (Teri) Duncan of Sunbury, OH, granddaughter, Carrie Duncan, grandsons; Jason Duncan, Robert (Cara) Duncan, Kyle Duncan and Cameron Duncan, great-grandchildren; Toni Riley, Kayla and Kamber Duncan and Keidyn Duncan. He is also survived by step-grandchildren; Stefanie, Seth, Christen, Nicole, Shelby, Jimmie and Ryan, sister-in-law, Charlene Regis and brother-in-law Harry "Buck" (Gertrude) Worley and several nieces and nephews. Russell was an avid sports fan, who loved the Purple Riders, Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. For many years, he also enjoyed playing bridge bi-weekly at various Wheeling Clubs. Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH , Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows at Riverview Cemetery in Martins Ferry. Belmont County Veteran's Association will present Military Honors at the funeral home Thursday at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Grace Presbyterian Church, 7 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935 or Martins Ferry Booster Club, P.O.
