Ruth Ann Monteleone, 86, of Pleasant Grove, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, in Belmont Manor. She was born on October 20, 1935, in Barton the daughter of the late James and Virginia (Worrell) Ayers. Ruth was a long-time member of the Barton United Methodist Church, where she was the organist and pianist. She was also a member of the Methodist Ladies Group. Ruth retired from the Peoples National Bank in Martins Ferry after over 45 years of service, where she served as Vice President.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony Monteleone; and sisters, Clara Jean Probst, and Alice Virginia Ayers.

Friends may call Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Reverend Barry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
