Ruth E. (Burns) Williams, 78, of N. 9th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Mar. 31, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Feb. 4, 1930 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Robert and Lottie (Burch) Burns. She was an employee of the former John Gross Grocery Store, Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William H. "Cap" Williams, a brother Robert Burns and three sisters Goldie Crawley, Bertha and Dorothy Arbogast. Surviving are two daughter Barbara (Tim) Bell of Grove City, OH, and Peggy (Rich) Padyjasek of Colerain, five grandchildren Tim Bell, II,and Billy Bell both of Grove City, Jessica, Melissa and Richie Joe Padyjasek of Colerain, OH. Friends will be received Thur., 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry where services will be held Friday, April 4, 2008 at 11:00 am with Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
