HELLOCK, Ruth L. "Tweedy" 89, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Thursday December 22, 2011 at Lancia Villa Royale, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born in Rush Run, Ohio on June 13, 1922, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Walters Tweedy. Ruth loved cooking, baking cookies, crossword puzzles, quilting and being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Michael R. Hellock on Jan. 10, 1985; two brothers: Wilbur and Herman Tweedy and a sister Zelda Fithen. Ruth was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is survived by daughters: Donna Crisante and her husband Joseph of Mingo Junction, Debra Plotts and her husband Bert of Steubenville and Denise Tate and her husband Jeffrey of Mingo Junction; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her loving Golden Retriever, Tanga. Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Avenue, Mingo Junction, and on Wednesday December 28, 2011 from 11 until time of services at 12 noon.
