Ruth G. (Hickman) Laslo, 91, of S. Front St., Wheeling, WV, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009 at the home of her daughter. She was born Sept. 9, 1917 in Woodsfield, OH a daughter of the late William and Okel (Ault) Hickman. She was a former employee of Martins Ferry Hospital. Ruth was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Steve Laslo, and a son Robert C. Turvey. Surviving are a daughter Okel Mae (Jim) Tipton of Wheeling Island, WV, a step-sister Bessie Stewart, three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Private graveside services were held at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with Rev. William O. Webster officiating.
