Ruth A. Jenkins, 78, of Colerain, died Friday May 7, 2010 at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Bellaire, OH. She was born December 30, 1931 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Sommer) Winzenreid. Ruth was retired from Martins Ferry School System where she was the Head Cook. She was a lifelong member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church and member of the Faith Circle of the Church. In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by a brother Paul Winzenreid, two sisters Helen Knapp and Catherine Schaal. Ruth is survived by her husband of 54 years George ?Heck? Jenkins, two sons Bryan Jenkins and his wife Amy , Brad ?Buck? Jenkins and his wife Lisa both of Colerain, a sister Wilma Bandfield of Washington, PA, and five grandchildren, Brynn, Travis and Talyr Jenkins, and Rikki and Nikki Allen. Visitation will be on Sunday May 9, 2010 from 12-3 & 6-8 pm at Wilson funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside and on Monday May 10 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church from 10 am until time of service at 11 am with Reverend Karen Torres officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
