Ruth Ann Vargo, 75, of Clarington, OH, passed away August 29th, 2019 at OVMC.  She was born April 16, 1944, in Martins Ferry, OH, a daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (McPeak) Jones.

Ruth was a retired caregiver for REM, was a Methodist by faith, and gave generously to charities like St. Jude's, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Harris, brother, Charles "Bud" Ashworth, and son, Charles "Jimmy" Vargo.

She is survived by life-partner, James "Jim" Frankovich; her son, Charles "Mike" (Stephanie Locke) Vargo of Colerain; daughters, Kimberly (Richard "Rick") Burlenski of Bridgeport, Traci (Eugene "Fritz" Loy) Millard of Bridgeport, Lori Vargo of Columbus; sister, Lynn (Dan) Hoffman of Harrisville; grandchildren, Zakuriah (Samantha) Vargo, Ashley Millard, Ricky Burlenski, Amber Millard, Jared (Charly) Burlenski, Ashley, Jordan, and Hayden Locke; great-grandchildren, Amory, Thorin, Izayah, Dani, Aubri, Brody, Austyn, Jase, Alayna; niece, Elise Bittner; and nephew, Carl (Melanie) Bittner, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 1, from 12-2pm and 4-6pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH 43912 with services to be conducted at 2pm with Pastor David Demarest officiating.  Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
