LEONARD, Ruth Louise, 75, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Saturday May 14, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. She was born in Martins Ferry on December 28, 1935, a daughter of the late Samuel and Allie Litten Roberts. Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed; we now have a special angel. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Martins Ferry and an avid Steeler Fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russel McEndree and her second husband, James Leonard Sr.; also her son, Bruce E. McEndree and several sisters and brothers. Ruth is survived by five sons: Russel McEndree of Tiltonsville, Sam McEndree of Warwood, W.Va., Henry McEndree of St. Clairsville, Ohio, James Leonard Jr. and William Leonard, both of Tiltonsville; two daughters: Ruth Cook and Mary Lynn, both of Bridgeport; twenty five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where services will be held Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brad Johnston, officiating.
