Ruth Ann "MeeMee" Ronevich, born May 6, 1939, passed away peacefully Oct. 16, 2010 among family and friends at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Ruth was born in Martins Ferry, OH and graduated from Tiltonsville High School. She spent most of her adult life in Martins Ferry as a homemaker lovingly raising three children, Jeff, Marcie, and Tausha Ronevich. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is one of two children born to the late Roy and Kathryn (Leach) Marquardt and was the beloved wife of Alex Ronevich for over 52 years. Ruth will forever be remembered by her caring children, Jeff (Patty) Ronevich and Marcie Ronevich, both of Martins Ferry; her treasured grandchildren Tausha, Lacey, Lance, and Alex Ronevich, Derrick Usenick, and Luke White; brother Ronnie (Mara) Marquardt of Yorkville, OH; along with countless other caring neighbors, friends, and family who were blessed to know her. Ruth loved laughing, being with family, attending sporting and academic events of her growing grandchildren, and enjoyed her dog, Trinket. Ruth touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark nurturing quality until her final days. Friends and family will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Phillip Van Dam officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Ruth's daughter, Marcie, continues to fight a battle against Multiple Sclerosis; therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National MS Society.
