Ruth A. Malatesta Ruth A. Patterson Malatesta, 65, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sun., Dec. 29,2002 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Oct. 23, 1937 in Blaine, OH a daughter of the late James and Hilda Darby Patterson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Dwayne Freeze and a daughter Ruthy Freeze. Surviving are her husband Julius "Boo" Malatesta, four daughters Jackie (Don) Tittle, Karen (Larry) Moore, Brenda (Eddie) Russell, and Kathy Black, two sons Joseph Freeze and Richard ( Cheryl) Freeze, a step-daughter Joni Malatesta, four brothers Donald, Frank, Gary, and Gordon Patterson, a sister Patricia Powell, thirteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wed 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thurs., Jan. 2, 2003 at 1:00 PM with Minister Terry Erwin officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
