Ruth M. Ridgeway, 90, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 29, 1922 in Bethesda, Ohio, daughter of the late Clyde Piatt and Tillie Diegmiller Piatt. Ruth was a member of Bethesda Christian Church, where she started the library in 1972. She retired as the church librarian in 2005. She was also active in the Samaritans Missionary Ladies. Ruth was a homemaker and did volunteer work at Barnesville Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward N. Ridgeway; daughters, Nancy Ridgeway and Brenda Joye Deal; brothers, Don Piatt and Earl Piatt; and sister, Marti Moore. Ruth is survived by her son, Kenneth (Nana) Ridgeway of Bethesda, Ohio; son-in-law, Donnie Deal of Barnesville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Doug Ridgeway, Amy Glawe, Kendal Sells, and Stephanie Gibson; and nine great-grandchildren. Family and friends may visit, Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio and Saturday 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Bethesda Christian Church, 40601 Bethesda-Belmont Road, Bethesda, Ohio.
