Ruth C. Garrett Ruth C. Schnelle Garrett, 87, of Bridgeport, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Thur., Jan. 9, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born Mar. 12, 1915 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Elmer and Della Mae Alburn Schnelle. She was a member of the Church of God and the Senior Center both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse W. Garrett and her grandparents Henry and Anna Bounds Alburn who raised her. Surviving are a son George (Sandy) Rumora of Bridgeport, three daughters Marguerite (Ronald) Davidson of Benson, AZ, Alice (Allen) Bell of Bridgeport, and Ruth (Jack) Brito of Canby, OR, twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Friends will be received Fri. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat., Jan. 11, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Minister Terry Erwin officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
