Samuel T. Egan, 84, of Martins Ferry, OH died Mon. June 18, 2012 at his home. He was born July 22, 1927 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Samuel S. and Nancy (Klives) Egan. He was retired from Local #809 Steubenville Construction Union and a member of the First Baptist Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dolores M. "Dee" (Skinner) Egan, a son Eugene Sprouse, a brother Charles W. Egan, and two sisters Audrey Whipkey, and Madlynne Kimble, and a grandson Scott Roe. Surviving are two sons Samuel T. (Karen) Egan of Butler, PA, and Daniel (Joy) Egan of Campbellsport, WI, four daughters Molly (Thomas) Schrader of Dillonvale, OH, Karen (Jan) Kennedy of Colerain, OH, Susan Roe of Martins Ferry, and Diane Sprouse of Colerain Pike, OH, a daughter-in-law Patty Sprouse of Wellsville, OH, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday 2- 4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Thomas Schrader officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
