Samuel Visnic, 89, of Stillwater, OK, formerly of Stewart, FL, Monroe, MI, and Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010 at Mercy Heart Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK. He was born Mar. 9, 1921 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Nick, Sr. and Clara (Rebic) Visnic. He retired from Ford Motor Company. Sam was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII and a lifetime member of Monroe Lodge #27 F. & A. M. of Monroe, MI. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Helen (Unkovich) Visnic, and three brothers Nick, Jr., George, and Millard Visnic. Surviving are his wife Edna (Kilgor) Tiffany Visnic, three step-children Dr. Sandra (Will) Goetze of Stillwater, OK, Matthew Tiffany of Nashville, TN, and Bryan (Lisa) Tiffany of Washington, MI, a sister Mary (Steve) Farrier of GA,step-grandchildren Taylor William Goetze, Emily and Sarah Minca, nephews David and Fred Farrier, and a great nephew Michael Farrier. Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry where services will be held Monday, August 9, 2010 at 1:30 pm with Fr. F. Rade Merick officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. Masonic Ritualistic Services will be held Sunday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
