Sandra Kaye (Whiteman), "Boo" Moore passed away peacefully at Valley Hospice Palliative Care Unit, Steubenville, OH Fri., Apr. 30, 2004 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 27, 1940 in Martins Ferry, OH the oldest daughter of Eva Christina (Richard) Whiteman and the late Norval Beryl Whiteman. Sandra was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry, a member of Martins Ferry Eagles Aerie Lady Auxiliary #456, and a former member of the Sunset Height Emergency Squad and the Legion Queen Bowling Organization, Martins Ferry. She was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant, working both labor and management. She was also a licensed cosmetologist. Besides her mother Sandra is survived by a son Dennis B. Moore of Hilliard, OH, two grandchildren, Cody Alexander Moore and Hannah Kaye Moore both of Hilliard, two sisters Linda Faye Cooey and her husband Randy of Bethany, WV and Nancy Jayne Nixon and her husband Danny of Martins Ferry, OH, a brother Gary Allen Whiteman and his wife Sandy of Pleasant Grove, OH. In addition she is survived by three nephews, Bryan D. Nixon and his wife Robin of Colliers, WV, Brent J. Nixon of Martins Ferry, OH, William J. Cooey of Uniontown, PA., three nieces Crissa Kaye Cooey of Bethany, WV, Celeste DeAnn Forbes and her husband Thomas of Colorado Springs, Co and Leah Marie Sparks and her husband David of Massillon, OH, a great nephew Jayden Daniel Nixon of Colliers, WV, three great nieces Kendyl Olivia, Kamryn Nicole Sparks of Massillon, OH and Danielle Prunty of Colliers, WV. Friends will be received Sun 6-8 PM and Mon. 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tues., May 4, 2004 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, 300 W. 10th Ave., B-13-4-459, Columbus, OH 43210
