Obituary

Sara E. (Finney) Theaker, 93, of Farmington, OH died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Forest Hill Retirement Center, St. Clairsville, OH. She was born Dec. 29, 1917 in St. Clairsville a daughter of the late Clarence and Rose (Unterzuber) Finney. She was the former Executive Director of the Belmont County Cancer Society and former Secretary/Treasurer of Mansell Theaker Excavating. Sara was a member and Elder of the Colerain Presbyterian Church and the Friendly Circle Class of the church. She was also a member of Bridgeport Chapter #452, Order of Eastern Star and a former Deputy Grand Matron of District 15. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Mansell Theaker, a son John Clarence Theaker, two brothers William Finney and James Albert Finney, and two sisters Lillian Rosenberger, and Anna Phillips. Surviving are her son Richard M. Theaker of Farmington, OH, her daughter Mary Beth Jones of Worthington, OH, six grandchildren Jeffrey Todd (Wendy) Jones, Bethany Lynn (Jim) Everson, Susan Elizabeth (Scott) Reece, Teresa Ann (Mike) Simpson, Laura Sue (Sam) Sutherly, and Richard M. (Jennifer) Theaker, II, and sixteen great grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry where services will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Farmington Cemetery, Farmington, OH. Eastern Star Services will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
