SARAH (ZANEY) KLOTZ, 91, of South Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born July 6, 1917 in Heidelberg, PA, the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary (Klein) Zaney. Sarah was employed by the Martins Ferry City School District. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Martins Ferry and the Bridgeport/Martins Ferry Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hal Klotz in 1987 and a brother Charles Herbert Zaney. Sarah is survived by a son Herb Klotz and his wife Bonnie of St. Clairsville; two daughters Charlotte Cottrill and her husband Jim of Columbus, OH and Sue Bell and her husband Chuck of Bridgeport; a sister in-law Mary Louise Zaney of Martins Ferry; eight grandchildren Stacie (Darby) Copeland, Amanda (Matt) Otto, Katrina Bell, TJ and Mark Bowen, Michele (Rueban) Blankenship, Brenda (Gordon) Hoover and Andy Klotz; eight great grandchildren Alyssa, Lucas, Mitchel, Justin, Ryan, Alex, Kylie and Christopher; as well as another great granddaughter due to arrive soon. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, Ohio. Friends are then invited to attend visitation Thursday from 10 am until the time of Sarah's funeral service at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church in Martins Ferry, with Reverend Philip Van Dam officiating.
