Sarah L. "Sally" (McAndrew) Plotz, 77, of N. 10th St., Martins Ferry, OH died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008 at home. She was born Sept. 19, 1931 in Midland, PA a daughter of the late Charles B. and Helen F. (Richards) McAndrew. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and formerly associated with the Junior Women's Club, active in the Mental Retardation Council, Football Moms, and Recreation Board all of Martins Ferry, and she was also a long time volunteer for the Red Cross, and East Ohio Regional Hospital. Surviving are her husband Robert L. Plotz, two sons Robert C. Plotz of New York, NY and J. Richard (Kelli) Plotz of Geneva, IL, two brothers James W. McAndrew of Wichita, KS and Charles F. McAndrew of Greenville, NC, a sister Ann Murray of Martins Ferry, and three grandchildren Alexandra, Eric, and Katie Plotz. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Burial follows at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. Rosary devotions will be recited Monday at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Elevator Fund 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH. 43935.
