Sarah S. Horn Schlanz, 84, of Bethesda, Ohio, formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio. passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at her home. She was born January 25, 1927 in Whiskey Run, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel Horn and Jessie McGrew Horn. Sarah worked for Stewarts RV Center of St. Clairsville, as a secretary for many years. She was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church of St. Clairsville and a life member of the Bethesda VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Schlanz; sister, Laura Horn; and son-in-law, John Van Horn. Sarah is survived by daughter, Sheila Van Horn (Frank Jeffers) of Bethesda; grandchildren, Crystal Owens (Bill Cline) of Belmont; Jay Van Horn (Nicole McCollum) of Bethesda, Wade (Sandy) Van Horn of Belmont; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Haley, Sidney, and Jaxon Van Horn, Harlee Owens; special grandson, Derek Owens; and brother, Merle (Mary Ann) Horn of St. Clairsville. Family and friends may call, Wednesday 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 p.m. , at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio.
