Sarah R. Schleappi, 86, of Canton, Ohio, went to be with her Lord, Monday, September 28, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born January 12, 1929 in Canton, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank V. Patron and Mary F. Bucci.
Sarah's devotion to God was shown daily by her love for family and friends, her giving nature, and genuine kindness. Gardening was a passion, as she enjoyed the peace and serenity watching the beautiful colors become a masterpiece. She loved dogs, as they were true and loyal companions. Sarah was known by all who knew her, as an extraordinary pizza maker and had worked in retail for 20 years at Kaufmann's Department Store.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carmel Patron Smith and brother, Nick V. Patron, Sr.
Sarah is survived by her daughter, Cindy Schleappi of Canton, Ohio and son, Mark Schleappi of Akron, Ohio. She will be sadly missed by the many family and friends whose lives she touched.
Honoring Sarah's wishes, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be conducted, Thursday 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Massillon, Ohio.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Main 4, Mercy Medical Center Hospice, the nurses, nurses' aides, sitters, and volunteers for the care given to Sarah and the kindness shown to the family during this difficult time.
