Sharon Sue Blount, 70, of Martins Ferry, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital.  She was born on January 25, 1951 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late, James F. and Mary L. (McPeak) Welshans.  Sharon was a member of the Martins Ferry United Methodist Church and retired from the United States Postal Service in 2011.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

She is survived by 2 sons, Jesse (Cara) Blount and Robert (Pamela) Blount; a brother, Darrel "Butch" Miller; 5 grandchildren, Peyton, Connor, Trenton, Silas and Maribelle Blount and her beloved cat, Scout.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Shirley Ross, Linda Dolfi and Carolyn Lekien.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the Martins Ferry United Methodist Church.  Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry.
