Shawn Edward "Big Dawg" Massey was born May 24, 1968, in Martins Ferry, OH to Randy and Cyndi Massey.

Shawn had a bigger-than-life attitude and his presence lit up the room. The Love he had for his friends and family was like no other.

Shawn was a diehard New Orleans Saints and Ohio State football fan. Shawn loved cooking, going fishing, riding motorcycles, DJ (ING), Dancing, Drawing, and hosting cookouts with family and friends. But most of all he Loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Shawn is proceeded in death by his grandparents Margaret "Big Mom" and Lawrence "Fats" Massey, Betty "Mommy" Van Curen, Amos Rollison, Virginia Ann and Henry "Bud" Johnson and his grandson Avante' Bush.

Shawn will be remembered and forever Loved by his wife Diana (Moody) Massey, his parents Randy (Anne) Massey, Cyndi Waziri, Tommy Johnson. 5 daughters Danielle Antill, Brandy Antill, Shawnta Massey, Briana (Massey) Hightower, Deja Massey and 1 son Jera' Massey, mother-in-law Dennise Moody, siblings Curtis Walker, Cassandra "Candy" Eggleston, Tonya (Tony) Harper, Misty Johnson, Trischa Johnson, and Muhammad (Victoria) Waziri 13 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandson a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

Shawn's Celebration of Life will be held at the Martins Ferry Recreation Center @ 401 S. 4th St Martins Ferry OH @ 3pm on Monday March 4th, 2024.
