Sheila S. Van Horn, 61, of Bethesda, Ohio, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Ohio Valley Medical Center. She was born September 12, 1953 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late James Schlanz and Sarah Horn Schlanz. She attended Real Life Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to all that knew her. Sheila was an avid Steeler's fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Van Horn and her granddaughter, Devan Van Horn. Sheila is survived by her daughter, Crystal Van Horn of Barnesville, Ohio; sons, James Van Horn (Nicole) of Bethesda, Ohio and Wade Van Horn of Belmont, Ohio; grandchildren, Xavier, Haley, Jaxon, and Sidney Van Horn, and Harlee Owens; best friend and life like sister, Debbie Sutton; special aunt and uncle, Merle and Mary Ann Horn; and numerous cousins. Family and friends will be welcome to visit, Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio, where the service will be conducted, Saturday 11 a.m. Reverend John Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
