Obituary

Shirley Ann Smith, 95, of Beallsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. She was born November 22, 1929 in Lewisville, Ohio, a daughter of Vernon Mann and Ruby (Christman) Mann.

Shirley was a Christian by faith, loved to knit, crochet and even worked in a sewing factory. She often made quilts and sweaters for family and friends and even hand-made prayer shawls which she donated to grieving families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, a brother, James (Barb) Mann and a daughter Barb (Bill) Cox.

Shirley is survived by her sisters Norma Moore and Marilyn (Jim) Simmons; children William (Bonnie) Reed, Jr, Robert (Sandy) Reed, Cindy Smith, Cecil (Deena) Smith, and a step son Jim (Carol) Warsinskey. Shirley was also a grandmother to 12 grandkids Anthony, Pamela, Bill, Adam, Mindy, Mandy, Waylon, Stacia, Andrea, Tonya, Elijah and Faith and a great-grandmother to several great grand children.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel 52728 Ohio Avenue Beallsville on Thursday February 6th from 4 to 8 PM and Friday February 7th from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am. Burial to follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
