SHIRLEY ANN (LaCava) (McNeil) ARMSTRONG, 74, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Forest Hill Retirement Center in St. Clairsville. She was born October 15, 1935 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Frank LaCava, Sr. and Dorothy (LaCava) Kussick. Shirley Ann was an avid sports fan and Catholic by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Donald ""ADA"" Armstrong; two brothers Frank LaCava, Jr. and Robert LaCava; and two sisters Dorothy Hall and Evelyn McGill. Shirley Ann is survived by four sons, Shawn Armstrong and his wife Staci of Bridgeport, Kenneth McNeil and his wife Gina of Avon, NY, Donald Armstrong and his wife Patty and Bruce Armstrong and his wife Diana all of Wheeling; a daughter Cynthia Martin and her husband David of Brookside; three sisters Margaret Straub and Eileen Namlick and her husband Adolph all of Gowanda, NY and Linda Howell and her husband Doug of Bridgeport; 11 grandchildren, David Martin (Alishia), Jennifer Wonsey (Eric), Tommy McNeil, Ashley, Timothy, Kayla and AJ Armstrong, Donnie Armstrong (Holly), Chad Armstrong (Christina), Dana Armstrong and Maury Armstrong (Shellee); 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am with Father John Mucha officiating. Interment will be held at a later date to be announced.
