Shirley Marie (Barker) McCardle, 60, of N. 9th. St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sun. Jan. 25, 2004 at home. She was born May 21, 1943 in New Martinsville, WV a daughter of the late Helen (Prunty) Barker. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a sister Nancy. She was a member of Christ U. Methodist Church, Wheeling. Surviving are her husband of 41 years Francis D. McCardle, Sr. , two sons Dan (Cindy) McCardle of Columbus and Robert (Nicole) McCardle of Martins Ferry, two daughters Shirley Jo Case of St. Clairsville and Annette (Tony) Zane of Martins Ferry, two stepsons Frank (Harriet) McCardle and Denney McCardle all of Wheeling, three brothers Gene (Mick) Barker and Kenneth (Nila) Barker all of Wheeling, and John (Mary Lou) Barker of Bellaire, two sisters Carolian Courtney of Lulling, LA and Ann Seals of Cincinnati, and ten grandchildren. Friends will be received Tues. 6-8 PM and Wed. 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thurs., Jan. 29, 2004 at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Ogden officiating. Burial follows in Stone Church Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
