Shirley Ann Conley, 79, of Belmont, Ohio, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. She was born December 8, 1934 in Benwood, West Virginia, daughter of the late John Warren Phillips and Francis Parker Phillips. Shirley was retired from Voca Corp after many years of service and was a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church Women's Club. She loved dancing and gardening. A precious gift, Shirley was the best mother and mother-in-law anyone could ever want. She was preceded in death by her son, Walter Rodgers; brothers, Thomas Phillips, Junior (Gladys) Phillips; sisters, Frances Mae (Julius) Gombkoto, Sondra Jean Simms; and special companions, Clarence Blake and Theodore Yonak. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Penny Sue Conley of Norfolk, Virginia; sons, Isaac "Al" (Rebecca) Conley of Belmont, Ohio, Darryl S. (Kathy) Conley of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Derek Conley of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Stacey Callarik of Dayton, Ohio, John Casey (Carrie) Callarik of Bethesda, Ohio, Brandon Conley of Barnesville, Ohio, Chris (Shanna) DeVore of Bethesda, Ohio, Dylan (Nikki) Devore of Glencoe, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Seth, Halee, and Justin Callarik, Gabriel and Brendan Smith, Caleb and Emma Wycoff, Rylee DeVore, Bella Fitch, and Joseph DeVore. Family and friends will be welcomed to visit, Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Monday 11 a.m. Reverend Theresa Bobot officiating. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, Ohio.
