Shirley Ann Davis, 80, of Bethesda, Ohio died Monday, September 10, 2012 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was born October 16, 1931 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Adison Spencer and Hazel Bolon Spencer. She was a Methodist by faith, but was a member and attended Ebenezer Baptist Church. She retired after 38 years of service in the nursing field and was devoted to the care of helping others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Davis and son, Bradley Davis. Shirley is survived by her son, Dirk (Joni) Davis of Bethesda, Ohio; sister, Marlene (Glenn) Green of Martins Ferry, Ohio; grandchildren, Matthew (Sarah), Michael (Maria), and Adam (Brook) Davis; great-grandchildren, Emma, Riley, Bella, Landen, and Lindsey; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit, Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Pastor Brian Bee will be officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
