Shirley J. Orzolek, 78, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Friday, February 27, 2015 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born June 25, 1936 in Rush Run, OH a daughter of the late Russell and Mildred (Yater) Francis. Shirley retired from the Times-Leader and Ogden Newspapers and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Robert C. Orzolek and a brother, Russell Francis. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Chester F. Orzolek, a son Craig (Fiona) Orzolek of St. Augustine, FL, two daughters; Rhonda (Romer) Dailey of Cadiz, OH and Michelle (Mark) Zinko of Orlando, FL, two sisters; Joyce McFadden of Martins Ferry and Mary (Ronald) Soos of Pahrump, NV and a brother Richard (Donna) Francis of Rayland, OH, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Monday, March 2, 2015 from 11 am until time of services at 1:00 pm with Fr. Tom Marut Officiating.
