Shirley Jo Thomas, 70, of Martins Ferry passed away, November 12, 2021, at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born December 8, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Henrietta Roberts and Joseph (Amy) Nicholson and her adoptive parents Henry (Rozella) Roberts.

Shirley was retired from the former State Dry Cleaners in Martins Ferry and the Giant Eagle in Bridgeport.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Joe Robert, and Doug Nicholson.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Martins Ferry.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Stephen Thomas, children; Lisa (Kirk) McGee, Earl (Tammy) Pugh III, Shondel (Chris Hindman) Ash, 6 grandchildren; Christopher Wilson, Alyssa (Chris) Howard, Stephen (Alexandra) Pugh, Lucy Pugh, Terra (Mady) Thompson and Aaron McGee and  6 great-grandchildren; her brothers; Harry (Janet) Gill, Dave (Bonnie) Nicholson, Donald (Kathy) Nicholson, sisters; Dorothy Agar, Barbara (Donald) Swearingen, Betty Nicholson and several nieces and nephews complete her family.

A memorial visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 5-8 at the Wilson Funeral Home -Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio.  Funeral service will be held at 5pm.
