Obituary

Shirley R. (Jones) Helt, 83, of Wintersville, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at her home. She was born November 18, 1933 in Dillonvale, OH, a daughter of the late William H. and Mary Jane (Hadaway) Jones.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, R. Jerry Helt, her brothers; Donald Jones, William H. Jones, Jr. and Arthur Jones and her sister, Sarah W. McMurdy.
Surviving are her daughter, M. Jackie Helt of Wintersville, two sons, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Martins Ferry, OH with Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this posting.
