SHIRLEY JEAN GREGG
Surrounded by her family, Shirley Jean Gregg, 86, of Bethesda, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior October 8, 2020. Born in Crabapple, Ohio on February 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Patty and Mary Pastva Palumbo.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, Bingo, playing cards, and dominoes with family and friends. She attended both Bethesda Methodist and Lansing Methodist Churches. Her faith was a true testimony of her life and she knew no stranger. She was a member of the Bethesda American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary, Barnesville VFW, and Micco Florida Eagles. Shirley's greatest blessing and time spent, was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Very special to Shirley was Alice Nichols, whom she took in as one of her own.
Preceding Shirley in death was her husband of 34 years, Charles W. Gregg and sister, Judy Doty.
Her memory will remain precious to those she leaves behind; her children, Marsha (Tom) Wall of Vero Beach, Florida, Charles (Tess) Gregg of Fairview, Michael Gregg of Bethesda, James (Tamara) Gregg of St. Clairsville; grandchildren, Kimberly, Anthony (Aili), Melanie (Paulo), Joel, Charlie, Laken, Joshua, Isaiah, Chloe, Lily, Seth; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Gaetano, Eila, Chase, Grace, Paulo, Jr.; sisters, Almeda Heskett, Patty (Earl) Corder, Joan Snyder; brothers, Norm (Patty) Palumbo, Don (Glenda) Palumbo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Monday, October 12, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, where the service for Shirley will be conducted on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Reverend John Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105;
