Smayah "Smicky" Phillips, 91, of Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, May 30, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Nov. 24, 1919 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Sam and Sarah (Adda) Phillips. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Life Giving Fountain of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Odee Phillips, and a sister Freda George. Surviving are two nephews Jeffrey George of Pittsburgh, PA, and Chuck George of West Mifflin, PA, a niece Brenda Taddeo of Elizabeth, PA, two great nephews, two great nieces, and one great great niece. Friends will be received Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, from noon until time of Funeral Service at 4:00 pm, with Rev. Menelaos Papageorgiou officiating. Interment will be at the Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA at the convenience of the family.
