Stanley J. Cook, 84, of Vine St., Martins Ferry, OH died Thurs., Oct. 28, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. He was born Jan. 12, 1920 in Crescent, OH a son of the late Andrew S. and Anna (Mroczka) Cook. He was retired from Boury, Inc. Wheeling, WV and the former Oglebay-Norton Coal Company. Stanley was a member of American Legion Post #38, P.N.A. Lodge #2220, Eagles Aerie #456 and the former V.F.W. Post #3613 all of Martins Ferry, and a veteran of the U.S. Army WW II. In additions to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Edward S. Cook, a grandson Richard Hood, three brothers John, Walter and Andrew Cook, and three sisters Catherine Terek, Josephine Nagy and Helen Garczky. Surviving are two daughters Patricia Parsons and her husband Frank of Moundsville and Judy Hughes and her companion Rick Maguire of Tiltonsville,a companion with whom he lived, Mary Harris, her daughter Julie Harris and a grandson Matthew Harris and nine grandchildren,two great grandchildren.
