Stanley P. Goff, Jr. 82, of Harrisville, OH died Fri., Dec. 24, 2004 at Sunset Health Care, Adena, OH. He was born Oct. 25, 1922 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Stanley P. and Hazel (Grummar) Goff, Sr. He was retired from the former Hanna Coal Company and a member of the Harrisville Fire Department, V.F.W. Post # 5356, St. Clairsville and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (Butler) Goff, a daughter Shirley Swallie, two brothers Donald and John Woodrow Goff, and two sisters Blanche Marsh and Gertrude Taylor. Surviving are three daughter Sandy Sterns and her husband Rit of Ekalaka, MT, Bonnie Matusik and her husband Bernard of Cadiz and Barbara Feorene and her husband Jeff of Bridgeport, son-in-law Jim Swallie of Barnesville, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Friends will be received Mon. 6-8 PM and Tues., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Dec. 29, 2004 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Alva Kinney officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove with full military graveside services by the Belmont Co. Council of the V. F. W. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisville Fire Department.
