Stella H. Korpita 96, of Wolfhurst died Monday October 29, 2012 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center Wellsburg WV. She was born December 15, 1915 in Whippy WV, a daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Volan) Karvola. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, the CWC of the church, the PRCU Society, and the Polish Roman Catholic Union. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul Korpita, a daughter Jeanette A. Dorsch, a great grandson, two brothers, and three sisters. Stella is survived by a daughter Nancy (David) Matthews of Wheeling, a son James Korpita of Toledo, a son-in-law Bill Dorsch of Fort Myers FL., a brother Frank Korpita, sisters Elizabeth Goshinski, Millie Nightengale, and Jeanette Wittenburg, seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Friends are invited to a celebration of Stella's life on Sunday November 4, 2012 from 2-6 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am. at St. Joseph Catholic Church Wolfhurst, with Fr. John Mucha officiating, interment in Belmont Memorial Park St. Clairsville.
