STELLA MARKOSKI, 94, of Dillonvale, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Sunset Health Care in Adena. She was born August 19, 1915 in Dun Glen, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Nellie (Kutay) Plewniak, Sr. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and the Catholic Women's Club. She was a member of the PNA Lodge where she was a former Secretary and was valedictorian of her St. Adalbert graduating class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Stanley Markoski, Sr. and three brothers, infant Frank, Walter and John Plewniak, Jr. Stella is survived by a daughter Phyllis Arnold and her husband Joel of Highland Heights, OH a son Stanley Markoski, Jr. and his wife Gerri of Miami, FL. She will be missed by her four grandchildren, Lori Arnold Morgan and her husband Bill of Pepper Pike, OH, Dr. J. Jeffrey Arnold and his wife Jo Ann of Highland Heights, OH, Natalie Markowski Baiamonte and her husband Michael of Palmetto Bay, FL and Kimberley Markowski Antoine and her husband Michel of Homestead, FL.; nine great granddaughters, Kaileigh and Allyson Morgan, Alana, Logan and Brooke Arnold, Arissa, Ilana and Janae Baiamonte and Hailey Antoine. Stella will be remembered for her love of family, friends, strong faith and helping others. The family extends many thanks to the excellent staff at Sunset Health Care for all the love and care Stella received while being at "home" at Sunset. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale, where Rosary services will be held at 3 pm and Wake services at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Adalbert Catholic Church with Monsignor John Kolesar as the celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Father Rojewski Fund at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, The Sunshine Fund at Sunset Health Care in Adena, or to Valley Hospice.
