Stephanie M. Sipos, 71, of Martins Ferry, OH died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at her home. She was born Mar. 3, 1940 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Stephen Sipos and Margaret (Vesmas) Sipos Kovacs. She was retired from the Cardiac Stress Test Lab of the former Martins Ferry Hospital. Stephanie was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry, a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and the Ruth Brant School of Nursing of Martins Ferry. Surviving are her brother Frank Kovacs and his wife Esther Van Dam Kovacs of Greenwood, IN, two nieces Melissa Kovacs, and Melinda (Chad) Kovacs DiCaro all of Phoenix, AZ, and numerous cousins. Friends will be received Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 from 10:00am till 12:00 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH then 1:00 pm until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Philip Van Dam officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 40 N 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
